Who we are

Premsagar translates as “ocean of love” in Nepali, and in many ways that embodies the goals and purpose of the Foundation as an organisation devoted to caring.

"Food for People" Building in Dhading

Premsagar Foundation Nepal (PFN) was established as not-for-profit organization to undertake activities that can make direct and meaningful impact on the lives of excluded and disadvantaged  people of Nepal, especially children and elderly.

The focus of PFN is to provide need-based nutritional support to help children access and complete their schooling and assist the elderly to spend their old age with dignity and self-respect.

PFN also organizes eye clinics, where doctors and optometrists conduct examinations, educate people on eye care, dispense medications for infections, distribute eyeglasses if needed, and make referrals — all free of cost. In addition, PFN has also been supporting small drinking water and sanitation schemes in rural areas where children and other people have little or no water for drinking and sanitation; distributing the relief materials to the people affected from natural disasters like earthquake, floods, landslides, cold waves, COVID19 epidemics, etc.; conducting awareness campaigns on health & hygiene and trainings on skill development, organic farming, etc. to enhance socioeconomic condition.

PFN was formally registered under the Society Registration Act on 13 August 2008 in Kathmandu District Administration Office and has obtained formal affiliation with the Social Welfare Council.
